21.02.2017 Malteser in Hövelhof inaugurate mobile ophthalmologist’s practice
Hövelhof, district of Paderborn. Not everyone in rural areas has access to ophthalmologist care. The Malteser in Hövelhof want to change this and have now started up a mobile ophthalmologist’s practice. The specially converted minibus is a low-threshold, outreach service: for older people who are less mobile, for homeless people and for people who cannot afford health insurance. This was made possible by a donation from the Dortmund-based company BLOCK OPTIC, which donated the vehicle and its interior fittings. During a ceremony, Pastor Matthias Klauke blessed the vehicle.
