Binophor®
In an extremely specialised world, good vision is often a necessary requirement in many fields of activity. A number of standards and legal ordinances now regulate the minimum requirements for vision in the respective areas. These are checked by a large user group with different areas of expertise, such as ophthalmologists, company doctors or occupational physicians.
Binophor® – vision tests according to standards and regulations
The Binophor® table-top unit offers ready-made test programmes for:
- DIN 58220 Part 5 – General eye test
- DIN 58220 Part 6 – Road traffic vision test
- DIN 58220-Part 7 – Mesopic contrast vision with and without glare
- G25 – Driving, controlling and monitoring activities
- G37 – VDU workstations
- JAR-FCL3 – Pilots Class 2
- General visual acuity test
The following visual signs and tests are included
- Landolt rings according to ISO 8596 Visual acuity levels:
0.2, 0.32, 0.4, 0.5, 0.63, 0.8, 1.0 – with and without glare - Landolt rings according to ISO 8596 Contrast levels:
23:1, 5:1, 2.7:1, 2:1 – with and without glare - Colour sense test according to Ishihara
- Horizontal and vertical phoria test
- Stereo test with 100’ viewing angle
- Stereo test with viewing angle 800‘, 600’, 400‘, 200’, 100’, 50’
THE OPERATION
The system is operated via a
tablet using the ‘BinophorControl’ app

For mobile use, a suitable
transport case is available separately
